Job summary

Athletico is seeking an Associate Athletic Trainer to work full-time at Lake Park High School in Roselle, IL. You will collaborate with medical staff, athletic directors, coaches, and athletes to review medical conditions and develop plans for prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning.

Qualifications include CAATE-accredited degree, BOC certification, state licensure, CPR and First Aid, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree graduate from an Accredited CAATE Program.
• BOC Certification, licensed/registered per state, CPR and First Aid certifications, and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Apply protective or injury-preventive devices such as tape, bandages, and braces.
• Recognize and evaluate injuries and provide first aid or emergency care.
• Develop and carry out rehabilitation programs for injured athletes and plan prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate injury records and write treatment reports per company documentation protocols.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners about athlete progress and continuity of care.

Position Summary: Reporting to the AT Manager, the Associate Athletic Trainer will be working alongside medical professionals, Athletic Directors, coaches, and athletes to review medical conditions of athletes and develop plans to meet athlete goals. This includes prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning; organization and administration; and professional responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The below is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organization and the overall business objectives of the organization.

• Apply protective or injury-preventive devices, such as tape, bandages, and braces
• Recognize and evaluate injuries at assigned affiliate or clinic and provide first aid or emergency care to injured athletes/patients
• Develop and carry out rehabilitation programs for injured athletes and plan and implement comprehensive programs to prevent future injury and illnesses with athletes
• Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate records of injuries and writing reports on injuries and treatment programs following company documentation protocols.
• Maintain communications with internal and external partners with regards to the progress of the injured athlete as well as informing of Athletico services and locations for continuum of care.

Work Environment:

• Work is completed in controlled indoor environments as well as outdoor with exposure to various weather elements
• Medium level of work-stress is expected due to the exact nature of the work to minimize risk of injury to athletes as well as responsibility to respond to medical emergencies
• Some weekend and after business hours work required

Salaried ranges listed are for full time (40 hour) employees. Additional pay such as incentive, GAP, overtime, and stipends are subject to the rules of each program and may not be available in all locations. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
