Job summary

Major League Baseball is seeking a driven Athletic Events Coordinator at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, FL. This role supports day‑to‑day operations, develops youth tournaments, and coordinates athletic events with MLB/JRTC teams.

Ideal candidates will have strong baseball knowledge, excellent communication, and proven ability to manage multiple tasks, including scheduling, onboarding staff, and coordinating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Must be a professional self-starter who can work in a team or independently.
• Effective time management and organizational skills are required.
• Strong knowledge of baseball and ability to communicate with stakeholders.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick, reasonable decisions.
• Proficiency with MS Office and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight and coordination of athletic events at JRTC.
• Support development, sales, and coordination of youth tournaments.
• Liaise between Sales & Athletics, onsite clients, and MLB/JRTC teams.
• Hire, onboard, schedule, and supervise scorekeepers and umpires.
• Coordinate Spring events, event planning, and scheduling using League Apps.
• Communicate event details to Event Planning and ensure proper reporting.
