Life Time Inc. is seeking an Athletic Reformer Instructor to deliver high-quality reformer-based classes that promote fitness, core strength, and positive self-esteem in a safe, supportive environment.

You will educate members on form, modifications, and Life Time programs while maintaining a welcoming studio atmosphere. Ideal candidates have group fitness experience, CPR/AED certification, and reformer Pilates credentials, with a passion for helping members achieve their goals within Life

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active group fitness teaching experience.
• Certification in NASM/ACE/AFAA/AEA or equivalent.
• Comprehensive Reformer Pilates certification for reformer roles.
• CPR/AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers athletic reformer-based classes that are challenging and on-brand.
• Builds welcoming environment and engages with members before and after class.
• Provides clear instruction on form and movement modifications for safety.
• Keeps studio space clean, organized, and professional.
• Selects energizing music aligned with Life Time standards.
• Promotes Life Time programs and memberships to members.
• Demonstrates deep knowledge of athletic reformer formats in every class.
• Supports sales processes through authentic member interactions.

Position Overview

Provides cutting-edge, athletic reformer-based instruction through entertaining, educational, and challenging classes that promote fitness, core strength, and positive self-esteem in a safe and supportive environment. The Athletic Reformer Instructor is passionate about helping members reach their goals through purposeful, reformer-based movement that emphasizes strength, stability, and control. Maintains positive relationships with members to educate, motivate, and promote a healthy way of life by delivering high-quality, on‑brand athletic reformer-based classes rooted in Life Time’s unique method.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality, athletic reformer-based classes that are challenging, motivating, and rooted in Life Time’s signature methodology
• Builds strong connections with members by creating a welcoming, inclusive environment and engaging in meaningful interactions before and after class
• Provides clear instruction on proper form, technique, and movement modifications to ensure safety and success for all participants
• Maintains a clean, organized, and professional studio space before and after each class
• Selects fresh, energizing music that enhances the class experience while maintaining brand-appropriate standards
• Actively promotes Life Time’s programs, services, and classes, encouraging broader member participation
• Demonstrates deep knowledge of the athletic reformer format, consistently delivering an on-brand experience in every class
• Educates members on the value of Signature Memberships and supports the sales process through authentic relationship-building

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of fitness instructor work experience
• Experience teaching group fitness formats
• Knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics
• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling
• Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds
• Ability to perform exercises specific to athletic reformer-based training
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to perform physical activity including: standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Ability to lift more than 20lbs
• CPR/AED Certification
• Minimum of one of the following Group Exercise Certifications: National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American Fitness Aerobic Association (AFAA), Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA)
• Comprehensive Reformer Pilates Certification (For Reformer Pilates roles only)

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field
