Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; NSCA or CSCCA certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certified.
• Experience as a strength and conditioning coach at university/NCAA or professional level.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience per JHU equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams.
• Leads Athletic Performance Coaches when Director is unavailable.
• Maintains relationships with Hopkins Athletics staff and student-athletes.
• Coordinates warm-ups, cardiovascular training, agility, flexibility, and recovery for practices.
• Communicates with Head Coaches on performance enhancement and injury prevention.
• Oversees fueling station, manages and orders food.
• Maintains student-athlete records and uses TeamBuildr/Vald/Catapult systems to monitor progress.
• Works with campus dietitian on athlete needs.
• Ensures weight room safety, education, and inclusivity.
• Assists Director with inventory and equipment management.
• Continues education through professional development and certifications.
• Familiarity with NCAA rules.
