Qualifications

• 1 year experience in an acute care setting.
• Demonstrated intrapersonal skills and patient care knowledge.
• Keen observational, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow orders and work independently within scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Accurately records patient vital signs and assists with medications and parenteral fluids.
• Recognizes changes in patient condition and notifies supervisor or physician.
• Documents medical records and billing data clearly and completely.
• Maintains safety and reports any unusual occurrences to supervisor.
• Stocks supplies and assists with cleaning rooms and equipment.
• Prepares charts, x-rays, labs, and equipment for appointments; supports exam setup.
• Performs venipuncture and patient education on procedures.
• Assists with coverage for switchboard and reception as needed.
• Cleans, wraps, and autoclaves instruments and assists in surgery.
• Transports patients and handles specimens and related reports.
• Manages files, equipment, and inventory; handles mail and errands.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
