Job summary

YMCA of Greater San Antonio is seeking a Sport Maintenance Technician to uphold the upkeep, safety, and readiness of sports facilities, grounds, and equipment. The role ensures clean, functional fields and restrooms, and supports program activities through proactive maintenance and communication.

All required safety certifications should be obtained within specified timelines; the position includes full-time benefits, PTO, holiday pay, and a free YMCA membership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping.
• Demonstrated initiative and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret safety labels and hazardous material information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain restroom facilities for cleanliness and accessibility.
• Prepare fields and facilities for leagues, practices, and programs; set up and take down equipment.
• Inspect facilities and equipment; assist with repairs and inventory as needed.
• Follow safety standards to ensure a secure environment for members, families and staff.
