Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District in Phoenix is seeking a dedicated equipment manager to maintain and distribute athletic uniforms and equipment for school teams. You will work with athletes and trainers to ensure proper fitting, supervise student sport managers, and support event setup and equipment checks.

Responsibilities include inventory control, coordinating repairs and replacements, tracking equipment using RMA and I-visions, and coordinating with coaches on gear needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus one year of athletic equipment, coaching, or recreation experience or equivalent.
• Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) certification required within 2 years of employment.
• Experience with inventory control, equipment repairs, and gear fitting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare athletic uniforms/equipment for laundering or repair.
• Monitor repairs and assign work; ensure staff are trained on equipment and systems.
• Maintain an inventory of uniforms and equipment at season end and coordinate replacements.
• Use Register My Athlete (RMA) to track fees, uniforms, and returns; coordinate disposals as needed.
• Coordinate field/gym site preparation for events and work with coaches on gear needs.
• Attend home events and transport equipment with athletic training staff to away games.
