Job summary

Kern High School District seeks an Equipment Specialist to receive, issue, and inventory athletic gear for boys' and girls' sports programs. You’ll perform first aid, sanitation, minor repairs, and coordinate with the Athletic Director.

The role includes maintaining records, setting up for events, and occasional custodial tasks. A pre-employment medical assessment and criminal history check are required; a valid California driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment handling, cleaning, and storage for multiple sports.
• Ability to maintain inventory records and perform basic arithmetic.
• Experience in first aid and safety procedures for athletic events.

Responsibilities

• Receive, issue, and inventory athletic equipment and supplies.
• Provide first aid and emergency care as assigned.
• Set up gymnasium for events and transport athletes as needed.
• Perform minor repairs on clothing/equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Attend athletic events and confer with Athletic Director on needs.
