Job summary

Jefferson County Middle School is seeking an Athletic Director to coordinate the middle school athletic program in alignment with district policy and guidelines. You will oversee coaching staff, schedule practices and competitions, and foster positive relations with students, families, and the community.

The ideal candidate has prior middle school coaching or teaching experience and familiarity with district athletic policies.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching/teaching at the middle school level.
• Familiarity with Athletic Policies and Procedures and the 509-J School District policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in selection, assignment, evaluation and supervision of middle school coaches.
• Fosters positive school/community/student relations through appropriate publicity and communication with parents; coordinates pep and awards assemblies.
• Arranges practice and game schedules for all middle school sports.
• Develops and maintains communication with high school coaches to enhance coordinated athletic programs.

STIPEND: $6981.72-$10,472.42

JOB GOAL: To coordinate middle school athletic program in accordance with District policy/philosophy and applicable rules

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: (not necessarily limited to)

• Provides assistance in selection, assignment, evaluation and supervision of middle school coaches.
• Fosters positive school/community/student relations through appropriate publicity, communications with parents, coordination of pep assemblies and award assemblies
• Arranges practice and game schedules for all middle school sports
• Develops and maintains communication links with high school coaches to enhance coordinated athletic programs.
