ReNEW Schools in Indianapolis is seeking an Athletic Coordinator responsible for managing and overseeing the school’s athletic programs. This role is crucial for the success of IPS’s sports initiatives, helping students engage in extracurricular activities as they advance through their educational journey.
The ideal candidate should display a strong commitment to community involvement in athletics and demonstrate effective communication to foster student participation and engagement. The position is in-person only and does not allow remote work.
This position manages and oversees the school’s athletic programs. The athletic coordinator should be familiar with the school community and have a strong interest in having their school’s student participate in extracurricular activities. This position is critical to the success of IPS’s athletic programs as they will help students figure out which sports they are interested in participating in as they progress into middle school, high school, and potentially further.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move athletic equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to demonstrate the proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation.
