Job summary

Princeton University Athletics is seeking a Communications Assistant to join the Athletic Communications team on a temporary basis through June 2027. The role focuses on promoting student-athletes and teams across social and traditional media while coordinating with Marketing, Broadcast/Multimedia, and Ticketing to strengthen the Princeton Athletics brand.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree and 1–2 years of experience, strong writing and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with Adobe

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1–2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience managing social media accounts for brands/teams preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary communications contact for assigned varsity programs.
  • Promote and publicize student-athletes, coaches, and teams via social media and media relations.
  • Collaborate with External Relations team to design and implement communications strategies.
  • Work with Marketing, Broadcast/Multimedia, and Ticketing to enhance Princeton Athletics brand.
  • Be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel with teams as required.
