Job summary

Princeton University Athletics is seeking a Communications Assistant to join the Athletic Communications team on a temporary basis through June 2027. The role focuses on promoting student-athletes and teams across social and traditional media while coordinating with Marketing, Broadcast/Multimedia, and Ticketing to strengthen the Princeton Athletics brand.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree and 1–2 years of experience, strong writing and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with Adobe

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
1–2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience managing social media accounts for brands/teams preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary communications contact for assigned varsity programs.
Promote and publicize student-athletes, coaches, and teams via social media and media relations.
Collaborate with External Relations team to design and implement communications strategies.
Work with Marketing, Broadcast/Multimedia, and Ticketing to enhance Princeton Athletics brand.
Be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel with teams as required.
