Great Hearts Academies is seeking an Athletic Coach to build and maintain a competitive high school athletics program at the Academy. You will schedule practices, manage equipment, and support student-athletes' academic and character development.

The role requires a high school diploma, coaching experience, strong interpersonal skills, and willingness to work evenings and weekends. This seasonal, volunteer/paid role offers opportunities within the athletics department.

Competenze

• At minimum high school diploma/GED, bachelors degree preferred.
• Prior experience in coaching high school athletics.
• Previous professional or collegiate playing experience is a plus.
• Proven experience in coaching and/or mentoring student-athletes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead young people.
• Commitment to upholding high standards of character, integrity, and sportsmanship.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Position Summary: The Athletic Coach builds and maintains a competitive program and believes competitive greatness is byproduct of hard work, morals, sportsmanship, and overall character. Great Hearts Athletics coaches build a legacy, develop character and skill, and impact positively the lives of the scholar-athletes who have been placed in their care.

Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Functions

Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. Running, jumping and other rapid movements may also be required. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.

Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
