Job summary

Position Overview

The AIS Athletics Department is seeking committed, versatile coaching candidates to serve as community coaches for Middle and Upper School sports teams in Atlanta International School.

Position Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model to players and parents.
• Teach skills through effectively planned practices appropriate to each team member.
• Condition athletes for endurance, strength, and agility.
• Direct team practices and games according to coaching role.
• Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility.
• Monitor players’ conduct during games.
• Collaborate with other coaches and the athletic department to strengthen programs.
• Attend professional development activities such as classes, clinics, workshops, and affiliated professional organizations.
• Transport the team to away competitions as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant coaching experience.
• GHSA certification, if applicable.
• CPR/AED & First Aid certification.
• Background check and driving record check required.
