Job summary

Brighton High School is seeking a dedicated Athletics & Activities Coach to direct or assist in directing the athletic program. The coach will report to the Athletic Director and collaborate with staff to support student-athlete development and program success.

The role emphasizes supervision, communication with all stakeholders, and compliance with league and district policies, including CHSAA certification where required.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience in chosen sport is required.
• Knowledge of all aspects of the skills involved with the chosen sport.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Have, or obtain, CHSAA certification per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach student athletes at all levels of the program.
• Work with assistant and volunteer coaches.
• Communicate with the athletic director about student needs and concerns.
• Assist with fundraisers, camps, and awards banquets.
• Direct or supervise instructional and conditioning camps.
• Communicate with coaching staff, athletes, parents and community.
• Promote student athletes and assist with academic eligibility requirements.
• Follow league, district and CHSAA policies and regulations.
