Lake Forest School District seeks a Head Athletic Coach for the winter season at W. T. Chipman Middle School in Felton, Delaware.
The role reports to the Athletic Director in consultation with the building principal and focuses on translating sports participation into meaningful learning experiences through mentoring and safe conduct. Employed for the sport’s season under the master agreement, responsibilities include scheduling practices, coordinating contests, equipment procurement, and
QUALIFICATIONS: Being a staff member in the building where the duties are performed isdesired.
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director in consultation with building principal.
JOB GOAL: To help translate sports participation into meaningful learning experiences for each individual athlete through mentoring the skills necessary for achievement, demonstrating sports-man-like conduct, and ensuring safe behaviors.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Employed for the duration of the sport’s season and per terms of the master agreement.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be reviewed seasonally/annually by the athletic director in consultation with the building principal. Lake Forest is an advocate of inclusion practices in all grade levels.
