Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Coaching and/or playing experience in the sport is preferred.
• Knowledge of sport rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Able to be a positive role model for student-athletes.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Must meet district and state coaching certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct regular practices and training.
• Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies.
• Instill teamwork, respect, discipline, and perseverance.
• Manage game preparation, including strategy and player development.
• Ensure safety and well-being by following supervision protocols.
• Support eligibility and balance athletics with academics.
• Communicate with athletic directors, staff, parents, and athletes.
• Oversee equipment, uniforms, and facilities; ensure accountability.
• Adhere to district, state, and governing rules/regulations.
