Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field required
• 2–4 years of athletic academic office experience preferred
• Master’s degree and 4–5 years experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
• Knowledge of Grades First software and NCAA/SEC rules and regulations required
• Ability to work after-hours, weekends, with limited travel

Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance to student-athletes including enrollment, admissions, counseling and monitoring attendance and progress
• Maintain and update student-athlete academic records, degree program information, and eligibility documentation
• Serve as liaison with faculty, admissions, registrar staff and communicate academic matters to coaches
• Supervise graduate assistants, student-workers, tutors, and interns as needed
• Work involves occasional after-hours/weekend work and limited travel
