Job summary

Boston College seeks a temporary part-time Mental Health Counselor to provide counseling and related clinical support to student-athletes within Sports Medicine, Murray Center for Student Wellness, helping them manage mental health, performance, and well-being.

The counselor will provide individual counseling, crisis support, and referrals, while collaborating with medical staff, athletic trainers, coaches, and campus partners to support student-athlete success.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Active independent clinical licensure in Massachusetts (e.g., LICSW or LMHC).
• Experience providing mental health counseling to college students; experience working with student-athletes preferred.
• Strong crisis-response and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling to student-athletes.
