Job summary

A leading athleisure brand based in Los Angeles is looking for a Technical Design Assistant to join its fast-paced Pre-Production team. The ideal candidate should have 1–3 years of technical design experience, solid knowledge in garment construction, and the ability to work onsite. Responsibilities include drafting fit comments, updating tech packs, and collaborating with internal teams. This is a freelance, onsite position with the potential to convert to a permanent role.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in technical design, preferably in athleisure or intimates.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, fabric performance, and fit.
• Must be able to work onsite full‑time in Compton, CA.

Responsibilities

• Draft and communicate detailed fit comments.
• Update and manage tech packs in Excel, including measurement specs.
• Collaborate with factories and internal teams on fit and development.
• Maintain organized PP and TOP sample rooms.
• Track development timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
