Position Summary
The ATE Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing automated test systemsused in manufacturing and product validation. This role ensures product quality, improves test efficiency, andsupports high-volume production through reliable test processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems for production and engineeringvalidation.
- Create and maintain test programs, scripts, and fixtures to support new product introduction (NPI) and massproduction.
- Troubleshoot test failures, identify root cause, and implement corrective actions to improve yield andreliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Engineering.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, improve product quality, and reduce defects.
- Support line bring-up activities and ensure all testing systems are production-ready.
- Perform calibration, validation, and preventive maintenance of ATE systems.
- Optimize test cycle time and improve testing throughput without compromising quality.
- Develop documentation including test procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Train technicians and operators on test procedures and equipment usage.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in ATE/Test Engineering within manufacturing or electronics environment.
- Experience supporting high-volume production environments preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of automated test systems and measurement instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes,multimeters, signal generators).
- Programming experience (e.g., C/C++, Python, LabVIEW, or similar).
- Experience with test software development and debugging.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as PXI, GPIB, USB, and Ethernet.
- Understanding of circuit design, schematics, and PCB troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and yield improvement methodologies.
