Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced, full-time ATC Training Instructional Supervisor to join the Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Nashville Intl. ATCT / TRACON (BNA) in Nashville, TN, supporting FAA air traffic controller training services.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality classroom and simulation training, overseeing contractor personnel, and mentoring students and Remote Pilot Operators. US citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• The Training Instructional Supervisor must have qualifications equivalent to those required of an Instructor in their area, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years recent Certified Professional Controller experience or recent experience instructing FAA personnel at a similar ATC facility as Nashville Intl. ATCT / TRACON (BNA).
• Experience with teaching, platform skills, classroom management, and a student-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality classroom and simulation lab training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and CPCs.
• Oversee and direct activities of Contractor personnel providing support within a specific instructional area.
• Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO) and participate in curriculum design and development.
• Interface with FAA personnel at all levels to ensure training meets local facility and FAA mission needs.
