Job summary

The Naval Education and Training Command in Jacksonville seeks an Air Traffic Control Electronics Maintenance Instructor to deliver formal classroom and practical training in basic, intermediate, and advanced maintenance skills. You will maintain curricula, assess students, and support advisory boards while applying FAA/DoD standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Navy PAPR/ILS course or FAA/DOD equivalent with experience.
  • Knowledge of FPN-68A and ILS policies to teach and evaluate.
  • Strong basic electronics and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to articulate concepts and train others clearly.
  • Support training development and instructor collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Teach as an Air Traffic Control Electronics Maintenance Instructor at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels.
  • Deliver formal classroom and practical laboratory instruction using approved materials and media.
  • Maintain course curricula and testing faults; keep Instructor and Student Guides current.
  • Participate in student evaluation, counseling programs, and advisory boards.
  • Instruct on maintenance procedures for radar and ILS systems; contribute to course improvements.
