Job summary

Think Tank, Inc. seeks a marine science professional to support PEMD field operations in Panama City Beach, FL. You will participate in at-sea surveys and laboratory work, applying SOPs to collect, annotate, and QA data from mesophotic and deep reef habitats.

The role requires expertise with ROV footage, data integration into MDBC/NCEI systems, and collaboration on outreach activities. Preference for MS in Marine Science and hands-on sea-going experience.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Marine Science or related field (or BS with relevant experience).
• Experience as data collector on at-sea surveys and ability to handle hydrological/biological streams.
• Proficiency in identifying marine taxa and reporting findings with clarity.

Responsibilities

• Survey duties at sea, including SOP-based data collection and equipment maintenance.
• Laboratory duties with video annotation and QA/QC of ROV footage.
• Data-management support coordinating with NCEI/NCCOS and updating databases.
• Analytical support including literature reviews and creating data summaries.
• Outreach and education activities, including public engagement.
