Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking an Automation Operator to manage entertainment automation systems on board, including stage elements and rigging operations for shows. You will report to the Senior Technician WDT and work at officer level aboard a Disney vessel.

You must have at least five years of show production experience and be proficient with hydraulic and electrical systems, motors, drives, and rigging controls. This role requires safety focus and teamwork in a dynamic theatre environment.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of show production experience in a similar role.
Experience operating computerized automation control equipment.
Experience or qualifications in theatrical/Entertainment rigging operations.
Proficiency with hydraulics, electronics, motors/drives and rigging controls.
Ability to work at heights and with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

Manage operation of Entertainment Automation Systems at the Walt Disney Theater during shows.
Oversee maintenance and safe operation of rigging for outdoor shows and events.
Train in outdoor rigging positions to safely operate during shows.
Contribute to the WDT Theater Team with load in/load outs, cast changeovers, new show installations, equipment tests, vendor support, movie premieres and company events.
