Visiting Angels of New Braunfels is hiring At Home Caregivers to support clients across the local area, including Seguin and surrounding communities. As an At Home Caregiver, you’ll assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, mobility support, companionship, and timely reporting of health changes, with training available in dementia

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once.
• Reliable transportation to client homes on the times you're scheduled to provide care.
• Feel confident in your physical endurance for carrying groceries and assisting clients.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking within dietary constraints.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client's day.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical exercise or walks with clients.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties for clients.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents promptly.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications as directed.
• Assist with mobility at home and during appointments/errands.
