Visiting Angels is hiring At Home Caregivers to support clients across the Upper Connecticut River Valley, including Brattleboro, VT. This role offers flexible schedules, competitive hourly wages, and opportunities for growth within the nation’s leading at-home care network.

You will enrich clients’ lives by providing personal care, companionship, and safe, reliable transportation, with ongoing training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care available.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed).
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes when scheduled.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking tasks per dietary constraints.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards (background checks).
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Provide assistance with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.

At Home Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients

• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
