Job summary

The Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics (AFRE) at Michigan State University invites applications for fixed-term appointments at the assistant/associate/full professor levels within the Food Security Group (FSG). Appointments may support a range of funded projects and initiatives.

Qualified applicants will have a PhD in Agricultural Economics or closely related field, at least five years of collaborative policy research experience, and prior engagement with MSU/AFRE/FSG.

Required Degree

Doctorate -PhD in Agricultural Economics or closely related field

Minimum Requirements

• PhD in Agricultural Economics or closely related field
• At least 5 years of experience conducting collaborative research with policy research centers in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, or Latin America
  Demonstrated track record of peer review and other publishing with local collaborators
• Past experiences working with AFRE and FSG, either as a direct MSU employee or in close and extended collaboration with MSU/AFRE/FSG faculty

Desired Qualifications

• Direct work experience with at least three North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, or Latin America research institutions that have recently partnered with MSU/AFRE/FSG in its work.
• At least 10 years of experience conducting collaborative research with policy research centers in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, or Latin America
  Access to external funding to support appointment activities.
