Job summary

Boulay Financial Advisors, LLC is seeking an Assurance Supervisor to lead audit, review, and other attestation engagements for diverse clients in the Twin Cities metro area.

You will oversee engagement execution, review financial reporting processes, and identify risks while mentoring junior staff and coaching team members. The role blends office work with client-site exposure and a focus on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 150 credit hours.
• 4+ years of progressively challenging Public Accounting experience.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong working knowledge of the general ledger.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards.
• Ability to delegate, supervise and review work of staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review audit, review, compilation, and other attestation engagements for clients across industries.
• Develop engagement plans, timelines, and staffing to ensure successful completion.
• Review workpapers, testing procedures, financial statements, and client deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Research complex accounting and auditing issues and communicate recommendations.
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and collaborate with Managers and Partners on complex matters.
• Build strong client relationships and provide guidance on accounting and financial reporting.
• Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and project performance.
• Supervise, coach, and develop associates and senior associates through feedback and mentorship.
• Delegate work effectively and support team members in priorities and deadlines.
• Serve as a technical resource and role model fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Stay current on accounting standards and continuing education.
