Job summary

CohnReznick in Houston is seeking a Senior Assurance Associate to join our team. You will lead engagement activities, manage staff, and deliver high-quality audits for diverse clients in real estate and other sectors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in public accounting, a Bachelor's degree, CPA eligibility, and strong MS Office skills; familiarity with CaseWare or ProSystem FX is a plus. This is a hybrid role with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CPA licensure achieved or eligibility to sit for the exam.
• 3+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm.
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX.
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts.
• Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
• Illustrate budgets and schedules.
• Actively participate in proposals.
• Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, with coaching and feedback.
• Demonstrate effective client management and timely, clear communication.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR ROLE.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

• 3+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• CPA licensure achieved or eligibility to sit for the exam
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
