CliftonLarsonAllen LLP seeks a Nonprofit Assurance Principal in the Bay Area to lead engagements and expand CLA's nonprofit presence. You will build trusted-advisor relationships with nonprofit executives and boards, drive growth, and ensure quality and timely delivery of audits and related services.

The role demands 8+ years in public accounting, a CPA license, and travel to client sites as needed. You will manage budgets, mentor teams, and uphold professional standards while expanding CLA's

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build trusted-advisor relationships with nonprofit executives and boards.
• Drive business development by growing a book of business.
• Lead nonprofit assurance engagements with quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.
• Manage engagement scope, fees, budgets, and deadlines with clear client communication.
• Serve as the primary client relationship owner and trusted advisor.
• Review financial statements and workpapers to ensure accuracy and standards.
• Provide engagement leadership including staffing, risk management, and quality control.
