Job summary

RSM is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to deliver timely, high-quality client service in Naples, Florida, coordinating audits of financial statements, disclosures and deliverables while guiding engagement teams. You will assess risk, design and communicate audit procedures, supervise Seniors and staff, and maintain year-round client contact, helping clients navigate GAAP, GAAS, and FASB/IFRS standards.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree.
• CPA or CA Certification.
• 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
• Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB or IFRS regulations.
• Proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
• Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the year, depending on clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high-quality client service, coordinating audits of financial statements, disclosures, and deliverables.
• Assess risk and design and communicate audit procedures.
• Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement staff evaluations.
• Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors and facilitate fieldwork, productivity, and work-plan adherence.
• Maintain year-round client contact and assess business developments’ impact on audits.
• Develop others through training, career-development advising, and Firm initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to introduce clients to other Firm services.
• Develop external Center of Influence relationships to support business growth.
• Manage project profitability.
• Communicate accounting and auditing matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
• Identify performance-improvement opportunities.
• Maintain ongoing professional education and stay current with GAAP and Firm standards and policies.
