Northmere Solutions in McLean, VA is offering a winter 2027 internship in our hybrid Assurance practice. The role provides foundational learning in accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis, with hands-on audit support and client-facing exposure.

Interns will contribute to audit issue identification, regulatory compliance, and value-added insights while gaining experience in a team-led hybrid environment that supports client service excellence and professional growth.

Formación

• Background: An undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting is required; this is an Entry-Level internship position.
• Candidates must meet the minimal educational requirements for CPA licensure in their base office state prior to beginning full-time employment.
• Excellent English language communication skills are essential.
• Candidates must be willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• A preference is given to candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain secret clearance may be required for Government & Public Sector work.

The Tone:

This is an internship at Northmere Solutions, with a hybrid work model that requires 40-60% in-person client and office presence. Northmere Solutions operates an Assurance practice, providing critical services in accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis to help clients navigate complex business challenges. This role is vital as it offers a foundational learning experience for aspiring accountants, directly contributing to the reliability of financial reporting and the integrity of capital markets by delivering objective audit insights. The Must-Haves

• Background: An undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting is required; this is an Entry-Level internship position. Candidates must meet the minimal educational requirements for CPA licensure in their base office state prior to beginning full-time employment.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required for this internship role. A strong academic record is expected, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and a demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam.
• Skills: Excellent English language communication skills are essential. Candidates must have an interest in working with a team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model, be able and willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary, and possess access to reliable transportation to/from the company office and client sites.
• Bonus: A preference is given to candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. For those interested in the Government & Public Sector industry, U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher are required.
