Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Intern in Risk Advisory Services in Texas. You will work with seasoned professionals to support internal audit, SOX, process improvements, IT risk, and fraud investigations. The role includes assisting in planning, fieldwork, wrap-up, and report drafting under guidance.

You will develop deliverables, research client industries, and help prepare proposals while building strong communication and organizational skills. Travel up to 20% is expected as part of engagements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance, required.
• Pursuing an MBA or other relevant advanced degree, preferred.
• Past leadership experience, preferred.
• Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with information gathering from clients during engagement.
• Assists in documenting and analyzing client processes, risks, and controls.
• Supports development of initial deliverables and solutions to client issues.
• Utilizes research tools to understand client industry.
• Maintains documentation and work papers for engagements.
• Other duties as required.

Job Summary

The Intern, Risk Advisory Services is responsible for partnering with more experienced Risk Advisory Services professionals to provide risk consulting and issues resolution to clients in the areas of internal audit, SOX, business process improvement, information technology, and fraud investigations. In this role, the Intern, Risk Advisory Services participates in various stages of an internal audit or consulting engagement and provides assistance with planning, field work, engagement wrap up and report composition.

Job Duties

• Assists with the informational interviews and facilitation of meetings with clients during engagement process
• Assists in obtaining information, documents, and data from clients to support the completion of analysis and research of client issues
• Assists in documenting and analyzing the client's processes, risk and controls with guidance and direction from Risk Advisory Services professionals
• Assists in developing initial deliverables and/or solutions to client issues
• Utilizes research tools, databases, and trade publications to develop understanding of client's industry
• Assists with the research and drafting of proposals
• Maintains all documentation and work papers associated with client engagements
• Other duties as required

Education

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

California Range: $40.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Colorado Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Illinois Range: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Maryland Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Massachusetts Range: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Minnesota Range: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr

New Jersey Range: $38.00/hr - $42.00/hr

NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Ohio Range: $33.00/hr - $37.00/hr

Virginia Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Washington Range: $37.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Washington DC Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr
