Job summary

Yeo & Yeo is seeking an Assurance Intern for a seasonal, in-office role in Michigan. The position runs from August 23, 2027, to approximately December 17, 2027, averaging about 24 hours per week.

You will work with experienced auditors on client engagements and gain exposure to accounting and assurance processes. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting with at least 150 credit hours, a 3.0+ GPA, and an interest in CPA to develop a public accounting career.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Accounting degree and 150 credit hours.
• GPA 3.0 or greater.
• Familiar with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with completing audit programs (Cash, A/P, PPE).
• Perform single audit testing.
• Support preparation of financial statements and disclosures.

Timeline of the job?

The Assurance Intern is a seasonal position that will begin the week of August 23, 2027, and end approximately December 17, 2027. This will be an in-office Internship role, while working approximately 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree Accounting and 150 credit hours
• GPA of 3.0 or greater

Technical

• Understand the rules, regulations, and professional code of conduct of the AICPA
• Understand basic accounting principles
• Use of debits & credits and relationship between accounts
• Proficient at completing audit programs (Cash, A/P, PPE)
• Is proficient at conducting single audit testing
• Understand how to use IDEA and F/A solutions
• Understanding of basic financial statements
• Employee has a sense of urgency or promptness to achieve goals
• Experience with accounting software through classwork

• Aspirations to become a CPA and develop a public accounting career
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a team and take direction from multiple managers
