Job summary

CohnReznick in Hartford, CT is seeking an Assurance Experienced Associate to join the Not-for-Profit Group. You will lead engagement teams on client accounts, plan pre-engagement work, and deliver final reports to not-for-profit and educational clients.

Our Not-for-Profit Group serves social service and charitable agencies, foundations, and educational institutions. The role offers a hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration about 3 days per week and a comprehensive Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• CPA licensure achieved or eligibility to sit for the exam.
• 2+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm.
• NFP or higher ed experience required.
• Knowledge of audit software CaseWare or ProSystem FX.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts.
• Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
• Develop detailed engagement work plans.
• Illustrate budgets and schedules.
• Actively participate in proposals.
• Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, with performance coaching and feedback.
• Gain the respect and confidence of the CRZ team through effective client management and clear direction.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assurance Experienced Associate to join the team in our Hartford office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

This position will support our Not-for-Profit Group.

The Not-for-Profit Group provides services to social service and charitable agencies, professional and trade associations, foundations, educational institutions, arts and cultural organizations, and religious organizations. You will work on a team with other Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. YOUR ROLE.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

• 2+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
• Industry experience required
• NFP or higher ed experience required
• Bachelor's Degree required
• CPA licensure achieved or eligibility to sit for the exam
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills

In Connecticut, the salary range for a Assurance Experienced Associateis $65,000 to $90,000.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
