Job summary

CohnReznick is expanding and seeks an Assurance Experienced Associate to join our NY Metro offices in a hybrid role. The team supports Commercial Services, focusing on Consumer, Hospitality, and Manufacturing & Distribution sectors, delivering advisory, assurance, and tax services.

The role emphasizes leadership of engagement teams, budgeting, and client management, with a pathway to CPA licensure and growth within the firm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm.
• Industry experience required.
• CHAMP SEC & PCAOB experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• CPA licensure achieved or eligibility to sit for the exam.
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX.
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts.
• Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
• Develop detailed engagement work plans.
• Illustrate budgets and schedules.
• Actively participate in proposals.
• Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, with regular performance coaching and feedback.
• Demonstrate effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear leadership.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assurance Experienced Associate to join the team in one of our NY Metro offices.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR TEAM.

This position will support our Commercial Services Industry Group. CohnReznick's Commercial Services Industry Group focuses on serving clients in the Consumer, Hospitality, and Manufacturing & Distribution sectors. The group works with middle-market and growth-oriented companies, providing integratedadvisory, assurance, and tax services tailored to the operational, financial, and regulatory challenges these industries face.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

Salary & Benefits

In New York, the salary range for a Assurance Experienced Associateis $70,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, to name a few.
