Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a full‑time Interventional Cardiologist to join the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, at Sidney Kimmel Medical College/TJUH. The candidate will focus on complex coronary interventions, intracoronary imaging, atherectomy, and structural heart programs including TAVR and LAAO.

The role includes patient care in the cath lab and clinic, teaching and research, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, with protected time for admin duties.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
• Eligible to practice medicine in Pennsylvania by start of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3–3.5 days of interventions in the catheterization laboratory and/or hybrid operating room per week.
• Provide 1 day of clinic care at the TJUH Honickman Outpatient Center, developing a robust outpatient practice.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team with cardiac surgery, general and critical care cardiology, imaging, electrophysiology, and heart failure/transplant colleagues.
• Allocate ½ day per week for administrative/research activities.
• Participate in 1 in 6 night and weekend calls with equitable holiday rotation.
• Teach interventional fellows, cardiovascular fellows, medical house staff, and medical students.
• Maintain research productivity and engage in ongoing and new clinical trials in the field.
• Mentor early‑career fellows, focusing on mentorship and development.

Job Description

Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH) are seeking a full‑time, employed faculty Interventional Cardiologist with a focus on complex coronary interventions, intracoronary imaging, rotational/orbital atherectomy and structural heart interventions such as TAVR, TMVR, mTEER, tTEER, TTVR, PFO/ASD closure, paravalvular leak closure, WATCHMAN/LAAO implantation, and mechanical circulatory support devices.
