Job summary

Tailored Brands, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Buyer to join the Men’s Wearhouse Merchandising team in Dublin, CA. This role focuses on buy plans, PO accuracy, and timely order tracking to support assortment decisions and vendor collaboration.

You will analyze selling reports, monitor inventory and product performance, and provide actionable recommendations. A Bachelor’s in Business or Fashion Merchandising and 2+ years in allocation/buying are preferred; strong Excel/Outlook skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising or similar preferred.
• 2+ years of allocation experience and buying or assistant buying functions strongly preferred.
• Understanding of Open to Buy, assortment planning, GM%, MU% and GM$.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical abilities and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date buy plans and business records.
• Manage purchase orders accurately and timely.
• Track orders from placement through delivery, resolving delays and risks.
• Coordinate and manage pricing updates, changes, and promotions.
• Prepare and analyze selling reports to monitor performance.

We help people love the way they look and feel for their most important moments by delivering personalized products and services through our convenient network of stores and e-commerce sites.About the JobWe currently have an exciting opportunity for Assistant Buyer to join our Men’s Wearhouse Merchandising team.What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities• Maintain accurate and up-to-date buy plans and business records• Manage purchase orders accurately and timely• Track orders from placement through delivery, proactively identifying and resolving delays, discrepancies, and potential risks.• Manage drop ship business, including order execution, vendor coordination, and ongoing monitoring of performance.• Coordinate and manage pricing updates, changes, and promotions• Partner with Merchandise Assistant to coordinate sample requests, receipts, organization, and tracking.• Prepare and analyze selling reports to monitor business performance.• Provide actionable recommendations based on sales results, inventory levels, product performance, and emerging trends.• Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to ensure accurate information, timely execution, and resolution of business issues.• Additional duties as assignedWhat You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising or similar preferred• 2+ years of allocation experience and buying or assistant buying functions strongly preferred• Thorough understanding of the Open to Buy process, as well as assortment planning experience• Thorough knowledge and understanding of GM%, MU% and GM$, sell thru, AUR• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical abilities• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills• Consistent demonstration of professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity• Motivated and able to work well independently, as well as an effective member of a team• Ability to multi-task and provide timely follow up• Ability to build solid relationships with teammates and business unit leaders• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and OutlookPlease note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $100,000. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy.
