Job summary

PUMA Group in Carlsbad, CA seeks a reliable packaging technician to support daily production by assembling boxes and managing packaging supplies. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse, read part numbers, and ensure materials are ready for the assembly cells.

This role offers a daytime schedule with potential overtime and a base pay range of $16.90 to $20.58 hourly, plus benefits and a bonus. PUMA emphasizes equal opportunity and safety in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience.
  • Able to work Monday-Friday 6:30AM – 3:00PM, with overtime during Saturdays.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble corrugated boxes, cartons, and other packaging according to packaging specifications.
  • Maintain a continuous supply of boxes, packaging materials, and consumables to assembly cells to avoid workflow stoppages.
  • Organize and stage packaging materials to support daily production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels of packaging supplies and notify supervisor of replenishment needs.
  • Transport materials safely and efficiently between storage locations and assembly cells.
  • Assist with headcover replenishment in the assembly cells.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Manage cardboard recycling through collecting, transporting, sorting, and bailing in accordance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

YOUR MISSION:


  • Assemble corrugated boxes, cartons, and other miscellaneous packaging according to packaging specifications.

  • Maintain a continuous supply of boxes, packaging materials, and consumables to assembly cells to avoid workflow stoppages.

  • Organize and stage packaging materials to support daily production schedules.

  • Monitor inventory levels of packaging supplies and notify supervisor of replenishment needs.

  • Transport materials safely and efficiently between storage locations and assembly cells.

  • Assist with headcover replenishment in the assembly cells.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

  • Manage cardboard recycling through collecting, transporting, sorting, and bailing in accordance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

  • Perform regular housekeeping of production carts to ensure they are clean and free from debris.

  • Maintain grip station operations by refilling solvent, monitoring solvent supply, and notifying supervisor when additional supply is needed.

  • Safely manage the destruction/disposal of scrap golf heads as well as graphite and steel shaft debris in accordance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material flow.


YOUR TALENT:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent combined education/work experience.

  • Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience.

  • Must be a team player willing to assist with a variety of tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Maintain good attendance and ability to work overtime during the week, including Saturdays.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to read component part numbers and decipher between styles.

  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations is preferred.

  • Able to work Monday-Friday 6:30AM – 3:00PM. Should be available to work overtime, including Saturdays, as needed.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to operate press used for destruction of golf heads.

  • Ability to use an environmental spill kit.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.


The hiring range base pay for this position is $16.90 - $20.58 + Bonus + Benefits
