Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, theAssociate Vice President for Finance serves as the senioroperational leader for the Finance Division and is responsible forthe effective day-to-day management of the University’s accounting,financial reporting, budgeting, purchasing/procurement, auditcoordination, tax and regulatory compliance, and related financeoperations. The Associate Vice President translates institutionalfinancial strategy into disciplined processes, reliable forecasts,timely reporting, strong internal controls, and effective financialmanagement across the University. The position works closely withthe Vice President for Finance and Treasurer to implement theannual budget, long-range financial plan, scenario analyses, andthe financial components of strategic initiatives and partnerships.In a challenging higher education environment, the Associate VicePresident is expected to be a hands-on leader who strengthensaccountability, develops staff, improves processes and systems, andprovides responsive, decision-useful financial support whilemaintaining appropriate stewardship and control.
