Interluxe Group in New York, NY, is seeking an Associate Vice President to lead integrated luxury communications for hotel and hospitality clients. You will oversee a 3-person team, drive client satisfaction, and deliver strategic media results.

Qualifications

  • Seven+ years' work experience in luxury travel/hotel/hospitality PR; agency experience is required.
  • Minimum three years in a supervisory capacity managing at least 2 junior team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction to clients and team.
  • Responsible for client satisfaction and meeting/exceeding deliverable goals.
  • Maintain client relationships through meetings and events.
  • Oversee account work for 3 team members, providing training and mentoring.
  • Provide strategic, strong media results and measurement.
  • Support crisis communications, as needed.
  • Identify stories and pitches; edit and write press materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers and influencers.
  • Provide ideation and campaigns; participate in brainstorms.
  • Recommend and implement strategic events and partnerships.
  • Provide influencer strategy and research for campaigns.
  • Report on client issues with proposed solutions.
  • Handle minor client issues independently.
  • Perform research and analysis of clients and marketplace.
  • Oversee monthly/quarterly reporting.
  • Stay updated on industry news, trends and technology; attend events.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Vice President to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of luxury engagement. This role is crafted for a strategic thinker who believes data should inform creativity—not limit it. You'll be responsible for developing and leading integrated communications strategies that connect high-value audiences with our hotel and hospitality clients. You'll work alongside passionate strategists, creatives, and data specialists to deliver campaigns that are as effective as they are elegant.

What You'll Do

Our Associate Vice Presidents are account leaders and responsible for spearheading client success and satisfaction. You'll manage a team of 3 team members to drive results across a portfolio of luxury hospitality accounts. Job responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic direction to clients and team
  • Responsible for client satisfaction and meeting/exceeding deliverable goals
  • Maintain client relationships through meetings, in-person travel/events, conference calls, general contact, meeting agendas, notes, reports, etc.
  • Oversee account work for 3 team members (ranging from account executives to senior account executives), providing training, coaching, editing, mentoring and overall sound leadership
  • Provide strategic, strong and consistent media results and measurement
  • Support crisis communications, as needed
  • Identify stories and pitches; edit and write press releases, media alerts, photo captions, media pitches, etc.
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with journalists, bloggers and influencers
  • Provide ideation and campaigns; participate in brainstorms
  • Recommend, source and implement strategic events and partnerships
  • Provide influencer strategy, advice, research, campaign ideas and provide and/or supervise communications management
  • Recognize and bring client issues to supervisor's attention with a suggested solution
  • Handle minor client issues independently
  • Perform research and analysis of clients and the marketplace
  • Oversee detail-oriented monthly and/or quarterly reporting
  • Stay on top of current industry news, trends and technology; attend events; network
Who You Are
  • Seven+ years' work experience in luxury travel/hotel/hospitality PR; agency experience is required; must have luxury hotel experience and hotel opening experience
  • Minimum three years in a supervisory capacity managing at least 2 junior team members
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-tasking, unique work environment
  • You're a self-starter with a proven ability to lead a team and work well independently
  • You have experience resolving client issues quickly and efficiently
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding team player with a positive attitude
  • Experience launching campaigns with non-client partners
  • You have a solid portfolio of secured media coverage (national, magazine, newspaper, TV and digital wins) and brand partnership contacts
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the travel industry + media, including industry-appropriate bloggers and influencers
  • Proven experience handling crisis a plus
  • Proficiency in reporting platforms (Muck Rack, Meltwater, Tagger)
