Job summary
Paws and Claws Animal Hospital in Lambertville, MI is seeking an Experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our collaborative, community‑focused practice. This position offers flexibility as full‑time or part‑time and centers on small animal medicine, wellness care, and surgery with opportunities for dentistry and client education.
You will provide comprehensive medical care, perform exams and surgeries, maintain medical records, and build relationships with clients.
Qualifications
- DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school
- Active veterinary license in Michigan or eligibility to obtain
- Minimum 2+ years of small animal clinical experience
- Proficiency in companion animal medicine and surgery
- Strong communication and client education skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgical procedures
- Conduct dental examinations and procedures
- Educate pet owners on preventive care and options
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with veterinarians and staff to ensure patient care
- Build long-term relationships with clients and pets
- Uphold high standards of veterinary medicine and advocacy
