Job summary

Desort is seeking an Associate Veterinarian for a growing small animal practice in Trumbull, CT. Open to full-time or part-time candidates, including new graduates with mentorship and growth opportunities.

You will provide preventive, diagnostic, and medical care, perform wellness exams and vaccinations, and develop individualized treatment plans while educating clients and building lasting relationships with pets.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Active veterinary license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice.
• DEA license preferred but not required.
• USDA accreditation preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, client-focused approach to veterinary medicine.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventative, diagnostic, and medical care for companion animals.
• Conduct wellness examinations and vaccinations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs.
• Educate clients about preventive healthcare and treatment options.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
• Collaborate with veterinary and support team members to provide excellent patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow appropriate veterinary standards.
