Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds (with/without assistance).

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and diagnose disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatments.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel on pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary ethics.
