Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Licensed or eligible to practice in Virginia.
• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology and behavior.
• Excellent communication with clients and team.

• Willingness to collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive veterinary care to patients.
• Perform physical examinations and diagnose conditions.
• Develop and communicate treatment plans to clients.
• Provide preventive care, vaccines and wellness services.
• Prescribe and administer medications as needed.
• Perform surgical procedures following safety standards.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests.
• Offer urgent and emergency care when required.
• Maintain complete electronic medical records.
• Educate clients on nutrition, at-home care, and behavior.
• Collaborate with veterinary team for efficient operations.
• Stay current with developments in veterinary medicine.
