Avenue Veterinary Clinic in Waverly, IA is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our full-service animal hospital.

You will provide high-quality medical care, perform surgery, educate clients, and care for a diverse caseload using modern technology. New graduates are welcome and mentorship is provided; sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; up to 25 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care through wellness visits, diagnostics, surgery, and dental procedures.
• Educate pet owners on nutrition, exercise, and long-term health.
• Work with modern equipment and evolving treatment options.
