Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Veterinarian (DVM) to join our Vetco Total Care hospital team. You will provide comprehensive medical care, perform surgeries, and guide patient management with emphasis on animal welfare and client communication.

You will hold a DVM from an AVMA-accredited school, be licensed in the state, possess a DEA license, and meet USDA accreditation requirements. This full-time position offers collaboration in a supportive, clinical environment.

Competenze

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Active licensure as a veterinarian in the practice state or ability to obtain by start date.
• Current DEA license to administer controlled substances.
• Current Controlled Substance License if applicable in the practice state.
• USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire.

Mansioni

• Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals.
• Perform routine and complex dental procedures including full dental examination, radiographs, extractions, and oral surgery.
• Develop treatment plans for day hospitalization and coordinate with referral hospitals for continuity of care.
• Disseminate knowledge to staff to improve patient care and communication.
• Work as a collaborative team member to ensure high-quality standards of care.
