Job summary

PetVet Care Centers in San Mateo, CA is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our collaborative team. You will work with experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver high‑quality care and build lasting relationships with clients.

We offer competitive compensation with a pay range of $150,000–$200,000 USD, production-based bonuses, and generous benefits. Sign-on/relocation up to $75,000, paid time off, CE support, and a supportive work culture are included.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD with active state license and DEA registration.
• At least 1 year of veterinary practice experience.
• Strong diagnostic, surgical and dental skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients to educate and inform care plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgeries.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Handle pharmacy duties and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on priorities and daily operations.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds to uphold high standards.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
