Job summary

Desort’s Gig Harbor, WA practice is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a collaborative clinical team dedicated to high-quality companion animal care. You’ll manage a diverse medical and urgent care caseload while delivering compassionate service in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include exams, diagnostics, medical/dental/surgical care, client education, and maintaining medical records. New graduates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree required or equivalent.
• Active or eligible WA veterinary license.
• New graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations for companion animals.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, including urgent care cases, with individualized plans.
• Provide preventive, medical, surgical, and dental care within the scope of practice.
• Educate clients on treatment options, preventive healthcare, and wellness recommendations.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure exceptional patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.
• Uphold high standards of medical care, patient safety, and client service.
