Northwoods Animal Hospital in Eagle River, WI is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to provide high-quality small animal care, including preventive medicine, diagnostics, and surgery. Flexible schedule: part-time or full-time with a welcoming mentorship for new graduates.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from AVMA accredited institution.
• State licensure required.
• DEA/BNDD eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and diagnose disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples; interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and procedures.
